Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Dermatology Technician to join our Michigan City and Chesterton healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment, supporting dermatology and cosmetic medical services. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, familiarity with EHR systems, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient service. Experience in dermatology, plastics or outpatient clinic settings is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare facility dedicated to patient-centered dermatology care. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs and collecting medical histories Assist with dermatological procedures and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety Support physicians with medication administration, injections, and basic wound care Operate and maintain EHR systems accurately for documentation of patient encounters Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication use, and post-procedure care Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean clinical environment Support medical administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient communication Triage Prior Authorizations Experience Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant or Certified Dermatology Technician is required Prior experience in dermatology clinics, plastics or outpatient clinics preferred Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and ICD coding standards necessary Hands-on experience with EHR systems, medication administration, and vital signs collection preferred Must be available to work Monday thru Friday 730 am to 7 pm and at least 1 Saturday a month. Hours may change based on the needs of the practice. Medical Gap year students with certification are encouraged to apply, if are able to commit to a minimum of 1-2 years.
