Part-Time Position Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our outpatient clinic team. In this role, you will support our physician and patients by managing clinical documentation, coordinating appointments, and assisting with examinations and procedures. Your contribution will help ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Interview patients and document medical history and presenting concerns Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and referrals Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) and insurance documentation Coordinate lab services, diagnostic testing, and specialist referrals Prepare patient charts and ensure documentation accuracy Assist providers during exams and minor procedures Draft and distribute clinic correspondence (letters, memos, forms) Manage billing tasks including receivables and payables Clean and prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments Qualifications & Skills Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Medical Secretary in outpatient settings Proficiency in EHR and patient management software Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication Service-oriented with strong interpersonal awareness Familiarity with outpatient workflows and documentation standards Education & Certification High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is a plus Benefits (Optional Section) Competitive salary Paid time off on holidays Friendly and collaborative work environment • Growth with our company
