SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant is responsible for administering nursing care to patients via the nursing process; assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating. The Medical Assistant also instructs patients and significant others in health care practices, working in collaboration with other health team members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Professional & Technical Skills Professional & Technical Skills - Experience gained through an approved Technical School plus an appropriate period of clinical orientation to the assigned patient care area and to personnel. Education Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. License(s) or Certification(s) Must possess a current certificate as a Medical Assistant within 90 days of hire. Other Skills or Requirements Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task.
