Clinical Scheduling Spec Riverview Health - 3.2 Westfield, IN Job Details 5 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Summary Contact patients to schedule appointments, complete patient questionnaire accurately, and maintain timely and accurate documentation in the patient charting system. Job Responsibilities Conduct patient calls and send letters to patients (patient outreach) needing primary care services. Assist with the scheduling of primary care visits, Annual Wellness Visits, and Transitional Care Management visits. Distribute patient-specific health questionnaires to primary care providers and coordinate with staff to complete the forms. Collect completed patient-specific health questionnaires and submit requested information back to payers to support payer risk-adjustment programs. Complete post-discharge phone calls each day to recently discharged patients to review for possible home-care challenges and scheduling of a visit with patient's primary care provider. Perform chart audits and reviews at the request of payers, management, information services, and providers to ensure proper documentation or update payer records. Submit electronic health record elements to payers in accordance with information security and technology requirements. Assist office clinical staff with proper workflow to ensure accurate documentation to support quality reporting requirements. Accurately review and document health care standards and follow written guidance to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and financial guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of qualified Medical Assistant program, CNA or other medical background plus a minimum of five (5) years of work experience
Experience Requirements Minimum:
Six (6) months or more Medical Experience or physician billing/coding experience in a physician practice setting.
Preferred:
Three (3) or more years of experience with Medical Assistant or other clinical role or physician billing/coding experience, previous patient care experience in a physician practice setting. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, data entry and clinical documentation.
