Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program Active Medical Assistant Certification (e.g., CMA via
AAMA, RMA
via
AMT, CCMA
via NHA) Active CPR/BLS and First Aid certification Experience in behavioral health or residential treatment preferred

screening TB skin test or proof within past year Immunizations Job Responsibilities (derived from ARISE policies): Administer medications as directed by the prescribing provider within the CMA scope of practice, utilizing the five rights Conduct medical monitoring, routine screenings, and vital signs documentation Perform phlebotomy (blood draws) and collect non-blood specimens for laboratory testing as ordered by the provider Assist licensed nursing staff or providers with medication storage and inventory protocols Screen persons served for communicable disease risk via intake questionnaires at admission Monitor and observe persons served for respiratory and GI illness symptoms daily, reporting findings to the provider/RN Provide first response to medical emergencies; administer CPR/AED/naloxone Assist and coordinate with EMS on arrival during medical emergencies Administer and document
CIWA/COWS
screening tools for withdrawal management under provider guidance Conduct biweekly medication storage inspection Report medication errors as critical incidents immediately Perform basic wound care and dressing changes with infection prevention technique under provider direction, observing and reporting any changes to licensed medical staff Communicate with the Medical Director or licensed nursing staff for medical decisions during emergencies Maintain on-call availability as scheduled within 30 minutes when not on-site Maintain active Medical Assistant certification and complete required CEUs per certifying body guidelines General Standards (All Positions): Exemplify ARISE Core Values (Compassion, Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Collaboration) Follow the Code of Conduct Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 Maintain a safe environment for recovery Participate in emergency drills and follow emergency procedures Report critical incidents Complete orientation within 5 business days and all required annual training Self-disclose arrests, charges, or convictions within 48 hours
