Allergy Medical Assistant

Position Summary The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support . This role involves direct patient care, allergy testing, immunotherapy administration, and coordination of care under the supervision of the allergist physician. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering compassionate care to patients with allergies, asthma and immunologic conditions.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties:

Allergy testing including skin prick testing and patch testing Help perform office spirometry/pulmonary function tests as directed Obtain and document vital signs and medication lists in the EHR Administer medications (nebulizers) per standing orders and physician instruction Triage patient calls and messages; provide patient education on allergy management, avoidance strategies and medication use Administer allergy immunotherapy (allergy shots) per physician orders and monitor patients post-injection for adverse reactions

Administrative Duties:

Call patients with lab results as directed by physician Prepare and process referral documentation and medical records requests Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation in compliance with clinic policies Manage exam room stocking, sterilization of equipment

Pay:

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
