Responsibilities Phlebotomy experience is a PLUS Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment plans. Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean environment for each patient visit. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), administering medications under supervision. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating medical histories. Support patient service by answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to discharge. Maintain compliance with safety protocols including basic life support (BLS), infection control standards, and clinical policies to promote a safe environment for patients and staff. Requirements Proficiency in EMR/EHR management systems along with familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medication administration. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy certification is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service while supporting medical office management tasks efficiently.
