Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist healthcare providers across diverse clientele within a residential substance use treatment facility. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinic flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact patient health and well-being. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering outstanding medical support. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to monitor patient health status. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Support clinical procedures including medication administration, monitored self-administration, and wound care under supervision. Maintain thorough and organized documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Assist with laboratory tasks such as specimen collection and processing in a residential setting. Ensure compliance with safety protocols including Basic Life Support (BLS) standards and infection control procedures. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a behavioral health treatment environment. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology essential for accurate patient assessment and documentation. Proven experience in outpatient clinics or residential settings. Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient data entry and retrieval of patient information. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including those suffering from substance use and mental health disorders. Knowledge of medication administration protocols within inpatient or outpatient contexts. Experience working in Residential and Outpatient substance use treatment is highly desirable. Competence in coordinating auxiliary services such as dental, vision, and primary care appointments. Effective communication skills to coordinate with physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and patients seamlessly.
