Job Description:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Clinic Full Time. First Shift The Heart Valve Clinic provides specialized evaluation, coordination, and management of patients with valvular heart disease. The clinic collaborates with cardiology and cardiothoracic teams to deliver timely, evidence-based care, support treatment planning, and enhance patient outcomes through coordinated, patient-centered services. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care including vital signs, histories, injections, and assisting with exams and procedures Support efficient patient flow and clinic operations Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and obtain insurance authorizations Perform waived laboratory testing and specimen handling Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients as directed Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment cleanliness Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Follow safety, infection control, and organizational policies Requirements Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program (Technical Diploma required) Minimum of 2 years of medical office or clinical experience preferred Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire Benefits Health, Vision, Dental, and Pet Insurance Life Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Identity Theft Protection Tuition Reimbursement up to $6,000 annually Company-paid Maternity and Paternity Leave 5 days of Paid Time Off available upon hire Bereavement Leave (including pets) PTO Sell Back Program Compassionate Leave Sharing Program (PTO Donation) Employee Support Fund for emergency financial assistance Retirement Plan with Company Match Work Experience Education If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!
