Responsibilities:
Greet and room patients efficiently, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience. Support front office tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and managing patient flow. Perform clinical duties including taking vital signs, drawing blood, administering vaccines, and providing clinical support as needed. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within electronic medical records (EMR). Foster a collaborative relationship with staff and patients, ensuring smooth clinic operations. Assist with patient education and outreach to promote health and wellness initiatives. Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Support clinic efficiency by managing tasks seamlessly across clinical and administrative areas.
Required Skills:
At least 1 year of medical assistant experience, including clinical externship. Certification as a Medical Assistant is strongly preferred. Experience in occupational health and phlebotomy/venipuncture strongly preferred. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Exceptional attention to detail, effective communication skills, and strong computer literacy. Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment. Have Skills:
Previous experience in occupational medicine or primary care settings. Additional certifications such as CPT, EKG, or immunization training. Bilingual abilities to better serve diverse patient populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical assisting certifications are highly valued. A minimum of 1 year of hands-on clinical medical assisting experience. Familiarity with pediatric care, particularly working with children aged 3 and older.
Other Requirements:
Availability to work scheduled shifts, including potential days in May and June. Ability to enter secure healthcare facilities via access badge. Physical stamina to support patient interactions and clinical tasks. Valid certification and licensure where applicable. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.
