This dual-role position requires a hands-on clinical professional who can also provide leadership and support to the medical assistant team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in pain management or a similar specialty, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to patient care. Duties Perform clinical duties including rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting in EMR, assisting with procedures, and preparing exam rooms. Oversee and support the daily workflow of the medical assistant team to ensure smooth operations. Train, mentor, and provide guidance to new and existing medical assistants. Collaborate with physicians, providers, and administrative staff to ensure quality care and efficient clinic flow. Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and safety standards. Skills Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and patients. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy healthcare setting. Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care and support to patients. Ability to work collaboratively within a team of healthcare providers while maintaining professionalism at all times. A proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability to changing situations in a clinical environment. Qualifications Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience as a medical assistant; prior experience in pain management highly preferred. Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly desired. Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills. Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.
