This position is ideal for someone who is driven, organized, technologically savvy, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. This is not a single-function role. The successful candidate will be cross-trained in all areas of the practice and must be comfortable transitioning between tasks throughout the day while maintaining exceptional accuracy and customer service.
Responsibilities Include:
Insurance verification and eligibility determination Obtaining prior authorizations and referrals Communicating medical test results and physician recommendations to patients Front desk check-in and check-out Appointment scheduling and patient registration Coordinating care with outside providers, facilities, and ancillary services Answering and managing high-volume phone calls Electronic filing and document management Managing electronic medical records (EMR) Following up on outstanding orders, authorizations, and patient needs Assisting with various administrative and operational duties as needed Computer Skills Are Essential This position requires extensive daily use of multiple computer applications and software systems. The ideal candidate must be highly comfortable with technology and possess strong computer skills.
Applicants should be able to:
Navigate multiple software programs simultaneously Learn new applications quickly Type efficiently and accurately Manage electronic records and documentation Troubleshoot basic technology issues independently Maintain accuracy while working across multiple screens and systems Candidates who struggle with computers, multitasking, or adapting to new technology will likely find this position challenging.
