Certified Medical Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care particularly within our inpatient settings. This position requires proficiency in medical terminology. Experience in addiction medicine is highly desirable. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information. Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills. Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program and licensure through CCMA or NHA. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to inpatient care. Experience working in addiction or inpatient setting is preferred. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and patient monitoring techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
