Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, medical procedures, and administrative support, with experience across various clinical settings including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient services in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Certified Medical Assistant will be instrumental in ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering compassionate care to diverse patient populations. Duties Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures including X-ray and phlebotomy. Support patient intake processes by collecting medical histories, updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), and verifying insurance information. Assist healthcare providers with medication administration, wound care, and basic life support procedures in accordance with established protocols. Manage medical documentation accurately, including ICD coding, anatomy and physiology notes, and medication records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control and safety guidelines at all times. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Utilize EMR/EHR systems proficiently for documentation, scheduling, and communication within the healthcare team. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from an accredited program is required. Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) management and medical office management software. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
