Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team in Paducah, KY. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting providers by delivering both clinical and administrative assistance to ensure efficient operations and exceptional patient care. This position requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and a genuine commitment to patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcome and prepare patients for examinations, recording vital signs and medical history accurately. Assist healthcare providers during exams, procedures, and treatments. Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, injections, phlebotomy, and specimen collection. Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Schedule patient appointments, coordinate referrals, and respond to patient inquiries promptly. Ensure exam rooms are sanitized, fully stocked, and properly equipped. Educate patients about prescribed medications, treatments, and health management. Support front office operations, including insurance verification, billing, and check-in/check-out.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant. Must be certified as medical assistant Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
