Job Description

Medical Assistant / LPN - Full-Time Mountain Family Medicine is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and organized Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our busy family medicine practice. This position plays a vital role in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, communicates well, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. Position Details Full-Time Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM No nights, weekends, or major holidays Responsibilities Triage patients and obtain vital signs Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record Process prescription refill requests Communicate test results and provider recommendations to patients Schedule appointments and assist with patient flow Submit prior authorization requests for medications and procedures Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, pharmacies, hospitals, and specialists Answer phone calls and address patient concerns professionally Assist providers with clinical and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Current Kentucky LPN license OR Medical Assistant certification/experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic computer and EMR proficiency Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Previous medical office experience preferred but not required for the right candidate What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a team player who genuinely enjoys helping patients, can stay organized under pressure, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
