We are known for compassionate care, clinical excellence, and a strong team culture , and we are seeking a dependable, high-energy Ophthalmic Technician to grow with our practice. Position Summary The Ophthalmic Technician is responsible for accurate clinical testing, excellent patient care, and efficient clinic flow in a fast-paced ophthalmology environment. This role requires speed, precision, professionalism, and strong teamwork . Technicians play a critical role in the daily success of the clinic and patient experience . Key Responsibilities Perform complete patient workups including: Medical history, visual acuity, refraction (if trained), tonometry, pupil and muscle testing Perform ordered diagnostic testing: OCT, fundus photography, visual fields, corneal topography, biometry, dry eye testing, and related imaging Ensure all testing is completed prior to physician exam to maintain clinic flow Accurately document findings in EMR and assist as a medical scribe when needed Administer topical ophthalmic medications using proper sterile technique Assist with patient education, follow-up instructions, and in-office procedures Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and properly functioning equipment Support efficient patient flow and a respectful, compassionate patient experience Ideal Candidate You are: Dependable and punctual — attendance is critical in patient care Fast and accurate in a busy clinical environment Calm under pressure and team-oriented Professional, compassionate, and coachable Motivated to grow in ophthalmology and long-term healthcare work Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Medical office or patient care experience Strong computer/EMR skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic Preferred Ophthalmic/optometric technician experience Experience with refraction or ophthalmic testing Schedule & Benefits Full-time, Monday-Friday No weekends Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off and growth opportunities Supportive, faith-centered team culture Important Because patient care is our highest priority: Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism are required.
