Job Description

MR Fusion Clinical Support Specialist Job Summary:
This position requires a MR Fusion Specialist with experience in urologic imaging and prostate biopsies. Responsibilities include transporting MR Fusion equipment to hospitals or surgery centers and assisting urologists during MR Fusion biopsies. The Specialist must understand patient positioning, equipment operation, and male urologic anatomy. Additionally, the CSS will coordinate and adjust MR Fusion Tech schedules as needed and manage in-servicing for facilities within their region, based on need or equipment damage.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
Delivery and set-up of equipment in a timely manner and prior to patient arrivalCalibrating MR Fusion equipment as neededEnsuring room set-up, including exam table, is properly aligned to ensure a successful procedureGuidance with patient positioning as neededAssist urologist with equipment functions (hardware and software) to ensure proper visualization and accurate biopsies in areas of interest or concernEnsure specimen labels are provided to facility staff in a manner consistent with facility protocolsLoad and secure equipment into UMS van for transport to the next scheduled facilityImmediately report any procedure problems to the MR Fusion DirectorImmediately report any equipment problems/failures to the UMS Service TeamPerform necessary planning and communications for confirming upcoming procedure day schedulesPerform necessary planning and communications for obtaining required MRI Mappings for proceduresMaintain after-hours contact for each facility in case of equipment failure or emergencies. Responsible for notifying the facility of potential cancellations and working with your supervisor to reschedule if needed.

Build and maintain relationships with physician partners, facility staff, and vendors.

Ensure MR Fusion Techs keep Policy & Procedure Manuals current, including updates and pre inspection reviews.

Oversee upkeep and transport readiness of MR Fusion equipment and supplies (e.g., cleaning, disinfecting, restocking).Report malfunctioning equipment to the Regional Operations Manager/Director as soon as possible.

Attend local and national medical conferences, meetings, and training sessions as requested.

Submit weekly expense reports and patient treatment records.

Support SPD and OR staff in-service to promote optimal use of UMS and partner-owned equipment.

Assist in training new MR Fusion Tech members. Support the implementation of new MR Fusion accounts.

Help coordinate MR Fusion scheduling and coverage for PTO, sick leave, and emergent needs.

Ensure coverage for vacant positions to prevent service disruption or case loss.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year experience working as an MR Fusion Tech.

Current BLS/CPR required.

Experience performing urologic ultrasound/prostate imaging preferredExperience in assisting physicians with special proceduresImaging professional credentialing preferredAssociates degree from an accredited allied health program preferredExposure to medical imaging modalities and different views (x-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT, etc.)Understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
Special Requirements:
Some overnight travel could be neededSome air travel could be neededSome extended out-of-region travel could be neededMust have a valid Driver's License and be able to drive larger-size transit commercial vehicle No "on-call" schedule
