Physician/Clinical Office Manager Position Summary The Medical Assistant (MA) is expected to support the provider in delivering quality patient care in a highly professional manner. This role is responsible for assisting with patient intake, clinical procedures, documentation, phone calls, scheduling, and coordination of care in cooperation with other providers. The ideal candidate demonstrates skills in navigating medical operation systems, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace. This paid position with on-the-job training offers a unique opportunity to develop your patient interaction and medical documentation skills in a fast-paced, rewarding healthcare setting while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Applicants should demonstrate a key ability to quickly absorb information, follow instructions, and apply feedback effectively. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately. Manage medical documentation including physician referrals, physician imaging orders, record requests, lab results, and pharmacy/insurance correspondence while adhering to HIPAA protocols. Coordinate patient flow by scheduling appointments, managing follow-up visits, and facilitating communication between other providers and patient care facilities. Respond to patient calls/questions regarding appointments, treatment plans, medications, and clinic policies within scope of practice. Manage voicemail messages and return calls in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols. Experience No experience or certification required. We are placing heavy emphasis on training a candidate with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. Position offers flexible hours for students in undergraduate studies.
Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
