Job Description
Certified Medical Assistant will assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Medical Director and Medical Providers. Must be able to provide safe, courteous, and competent direct and indirect patient care services that meet all aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provide care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of Provider. Must be able to communicate with medical providers efficiently and accurately about changes in patient's clinical condition. Must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment and able to perform general medical associate duties with adequate supervision. Must demonstrate ability to perform treatments and provide services within scope of practice. Will be responsible for answering and returning all phone calls and messages of their designated Provider and performing immediate patient care for all Providers as needed. Will be responsible for processing patients to see the Provider including vitals, entering information into the computer, necessary testing prior to Provider visit. Will be responsible for performing Physicals of multiple types and ages. Will be responsible for the set-up / clean up, stock / re-stocking and sharps container disposal in patient exam rooms. Will be responsible for the cleaning and sterilization of used instruments. Must be able to keep up with the fast pace of a busy practice. Must be able to multi-task efficiently. Must exercise confidentiality in all aspects of duties and communications. Must exhibit a compassionate attitude towards all patients. Licensures /
