Medical Assistant

The team at Louisiana Center for Women's Health is growing! We are currently hiring a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about providing quality care for women in our community.

SUMMARY:

Assists with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Obtains medical history and vital signs Administers medication/injections based on the orders of the Provider May perform scribe duties by documenting patient encounters in real-time into the EHR as directed by the Provider. Ability to rotate through both front and back office Front office duties include scheduling, checking in/out patients, insurance verification, collection of copays, answering phones, etc. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of the clinic.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Must be caring, reliable, and patient-focused High school degree or equivalent required. At least 1 year of primary care office or urgent care setting preferred. At least 1 year of MA experience Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Front office experience preferred but not required

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
