Medical Assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare professionals in providing quality care to patients in various medical settings.

Clinic Hours:

Monday-Friday 7:30-5:00, Friday 7:30-12:00

Duties:

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient examinations and procedures
• Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent information
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers
• Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
• Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
• Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and general health topics

Qualifications:

• Certificate or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics
• Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and emergency medicine protocols
• Familiarity with coding practices for billing purposes
• Prior experience in clinic
