Family Medicine Associates of South Attleboro is private family practice with two convenient locations. We operate out of South Attleboro and North Attleboro. We currently have multiple providers in both locations and looking to immediately hire two Medical Assistants. As a Medical Assistant , you would be responsible for working directly with the providers and their patients. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to work Monday thru Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. There is one evening as well. Evening hours are 9:30am-6:00pm. All Medical Assistants alternate an on-call schedule for Saturday mornings 7:30am-11:00am.
Requirements:
Completion of Medical Assistant program Certification as Medical Assistant a must.
COVID -19
Vaccination preferred.
Duties:
Escort patients from the waiting room to their exam rooms. Obtain vitals as needed for the office visit (blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, temp, pulseox, etc) Perform EKGs Collect urine samples for urine dips, cultures, urinalysis, drug tox screening and pregnancy tests Administer and interpret Mantoux test (TB screening) Administer peak flow and spirometry breathing tests Administer nebulizer treatments as requested Administer state and private vaccines to patients of all ages Perform strep test, flu test and COVID tests Perform A1C and glucose finger sticks Administer vision exams Sterilizing of medical instruments using an autoclave Respond to both phone calls and portal messages from patients Obtain medication prior authorizations as needed Schedule specialist and imaging appointments Request medical records from specialists and hospitals when needed Call and/or mail test results to patients Forward all pertinent information to specialists Stock exam rooms daily Assist providers when necessary Other duties as assigned
