Job Description

Job Summary Diagnostic Ultrasound Associates (DUA), P.C. specializes in obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasound imaging. We provide experienced, state of the art diagnoses of fetal, maternal and gynecological conditions in a caring and supportive environment. Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Administrative Assistant, where your organizational skills and compassionate approach will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. In this energetic role, you will serve as the friendly face and efficient coordinator behind the scenes, managing appointments, patient records, and administrative tasks with precision and enthusiasm. Your proactive attitude will ensure smooth clinic operations, allowing healthcare providers to focus on what they do best—caring for patients. This position offers an engaging environment where your contributions directly impact patient experiences and clinic efficiency. Duties Answer and manage incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Perform data entry in electronic systems with a high degree of accuracy Scan, upload, and organize patient documents into the appropriate systems Verify patient insurance information and eligibility prior to appointments Review and confirm receipt of appropriate physician orders and documentation Maintain organized records and ensure all information is complete and up to date Support general administrative functions to ensure smooth daily operations Skills Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively Strong interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients and team members Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and office software such as MS Office Suite strongly preferred Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear interactions Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus but not required This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a supportive healthcare environment.
