Job Description

Join our team and play a vital role in delivering accurate, timely diagnostic results that support patient care. As a Specimen Processing Technician, you'll be at the heart of the laboratory operation-ensuring samples are handled with precision, efficiency, and care. About the Role Under the general supervision of the Phlebotomy/Specimen Processing Supervisor, you will perform essential specimen handling and processing tasks for clinical laboratory testing. This includes receiving, verifying, preparing, and routing samples to appropriate technical departments. Key Responsibilities Receive, accession, and process a variety of clinical specimens for laboratory testing Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and data entry into laboratory systems Route specimens to appropriate technical areas in a timely manner Maintain specimen integrity and follow all safety and compliance protocols Support workflow efficiency in a fast-paced clinical environment Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders Minimum Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Experience Previous laboratory, healthcare, or data entry experience preferred Familiarity with computer systems and basic office software is a plus Licensure/Certification None required Core Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Basic computer proficiency and data entry accuracy Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Why Join Us?
