Job Description

Medical Assistant/Receptionist, Pulmonary, Emerson Health, Concord, MA We're looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant / Clinical Office Coordinator to join our growing healthcare team. In this vital role, you'll be at the heart of the patient experience—helping ensure smooth clinic operations while supporting physicians in delivering high-quality care. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced medical environment and thrive on both clinical and administrative responsibilities, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and readiness Support physicians with clinical procedures and day-to-day patient care Coordinate office workflows, including scheduling and patient communication Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Provide exceptional customer service to patients both in person and over the phone Safeguard patient confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations What You Bring Education High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Completion of a Medical Assistant program (preferred) Experience 2-4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician or medical office (preferred) 1-3 years of administrative or medical office experience (preferred) Licensure / Certification State Medical Assistant Certification (preferred, not required) Skills & Competencies Experience with EMR systems such as GE Centricity or Meditech (preferred) Strong computer proficiency and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to deliver outstanding patient/customer service Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality Why Join Us?
