Job Description

Job Summary:
The Urgent Care Co-Op/Internship Student will work alongside Medical Assistants, providers, and clinical staff in a fast-paced urgent care environment. This educational experience is designed to provide students with hands-on exposure to outpatient clinical operations, patient care workflows, and medical office procedures while developing foundational clinical skills and professionalism. Students will participate in supervised patient care activities and gain experience in clinical documentation, patient intake, point-of-care testing, and procedural support.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Current enrollment in a healthcare-related educational program preferred
Experience:
Current enrollment in a healthcare-related educational program preferred Interest in healthcare, nursing, medical assisting, physician assistant studies, or related fields. Licensure and/or
Certification:
BLS certification required, or to achieve within 4 months from date of hire, and maintain.
Skills:
Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Computer skills required. Ability to maintain confidential information. Interest in healthcare, nursing, medical assisting, physician assistant studies, or related fields. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment. Demonstrated willingness to learn and maintain professional conduct at all times.
