Job Description

Company Overview Riverside Surgical Associates is a busy, well-established surgical practice located in Lowell, MA. We are seeking a hardworking and energetic Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. Summary We are seeking a Medical Assistant who will play a key role in both clinical and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be professional, personable, and highly organized, with the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high standard of patient care. Responsibilities Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including taking and documenting vital signs in Epic (electronic medical record system) Assist physicians during minor surgical procedures Answer and direct incoming phone calls Schedule patient appointments Gather and review patient medical records and information Book surgeries and other procedures at Lowell General Hospital Obtain insurance authorizations as needed Order and stock medical supplies Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and instrumentsCommunicate with other physician offices regarding patient appointments and other needs Provide occasional front desk assistance Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program Experience in a healthcare setting preferred Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment If you are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and want to be part of a dedicated surgical team, we encourage you to apply today at Riverside Surgical Associates!
