Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a busy outpatient oncology clinic on a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, experience working in an ambulatory or clinic setting, and a passion for providing compassionate care to oncology patients. Key Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication information. Assist providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures. Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment. Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and other clinical duties as assigned. Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record. Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care. Provide patient education and support throughout treatment plans. Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience. Recent outpatient or clinic experience required. Oncology experience required. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills. Additional Information Local candidates are accepted and preferred. Medical Assistant certification is not required. Candidates must have been separated from any previous employment with this health system for at least six months to be considered. Interview with the hiring manager required. Preferred Skills Experience supporting oncology providers and patients. Knowledge of EMR systems and outpatient workflows. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment. Excellent patient service and teamwork skills. GA01
