Job Description

The Medical Assistant position is a great opportunity for individuals looking to work in a fast-paced doctor's office and advance their career. The successful candidate will have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as proven experience working within a medical office. Previous experience in pain management is a plus but not required, as training will be provided. Our team is looking for an individual who is positive, extremely reliable, and committed to providing their patients with the highest level of care. This position will be responsible for assisting physicians and support staff with the daily practice operations.
Responsibilities:
Communicate and work with physicians, medical staff, and patients. Complete patient intake and discharge, including vital signs and medication reconciliation. Assist physicians with surgical room setup and procedure documentation. Document patient pain assessments during consultations and follow-up visits. Manage office workflow effectively. Schedule patient office-visits and procedures. Request medical and medication authorizations from insurance plans as needed. Collect labs and complete accompanying documentation. Sterilize surgical equipment (Autoclave). Assist the Practice Manager with project management/tasks.

Reliable and committed to providing excellent patient care. Highly Professional. HIPAA-compliant. A fast learner who enjoys developing their skills and education. Familiar with EMR systems and documentation. We are looking for a Medical Assistant who wishes to learn and grow their medical expertise while becoming a pivotal member of our team. Position is for 2-3 days per week. Please do not apply if you are looking for a temporary role.
Pay:
$23.00 - $29.00 per hour
