Job Description

About Us:
Join our team at Medical Associates of New England, a busy primary care and pulmonology office dedicated to providing excellent patient care in Norwood. We offer a supportive environment with opportunities for growth and development.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves assisting in patient care activities, performing clinical procedures, and ensuring smooth operations in our office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain manual vital signs and perform EKGs. Administer injections and assist with medication reconciliation. Prepare patient charts and room patients efficiently. Handle phone triage and communicate effectively with patients. Authorize prescription refills and manage referrals as needed. Schedule appointments and check patients in and out using eClinicalWorks. Opportunity for onsite training in EKGs, injections, and other clinical tasks.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors Degree, relevant certification, or equivalent work experience preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience:
0-1 years of experience required; primary care experience preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work independently and professionally. Proficiency in performing EKGs and manual vital signs. Excellent communication and phone skills. Experience with eClinicalWorks highly preferred. Knowledge of referrals and prior authorizations is a plus.
