This energetic position combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, providing an engaging environment for motivated individuals eager to make a difference. You will be the friendly face patients see first and the efficient coordinator behind the scenes, supporting physicians across various specialties including dermatology, urgent care, internal medicine, and hospital medicine. Your expertise will help streamline patient intake, assist with medical procedures, and maintain accurate health records in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including medication administration, wound dressing, and sample collection Support physicians during examinations and procedures, including X-ray preparation and basic physiology assessments Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up communications efficiently to optimize clinic operations Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, managing patient records, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and handling patient inquiries with professionalism Support hospital-based teams by understanding inpatient protocols, ICU (Intensive Care Unit) procedures, and Level I/II trauma center standards when applicable Assist in emergency situations by applying Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques and supporting emergency medicine protocols as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across outpatient clinics, hospital units like Geriatrics or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and surgical settings such as OR (Operating Room) support Qualifications Prior experience in medical settings such as outpatient clinics or hospital environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dermatology, urgent care procedures, hospital medicine practices, or emergency medicine enhances your candidacy Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration processes Experience working with EHR systems and proficiency in managing patient data accurately Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to hospital or ICU experience are advantageous Familiarity with X-ray procedures or medical-surgical environments is a plus Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values energetic professionals committed to delivering outstanding healthcare experiences.
