Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical support, patient care, and administrative duties within various medical settings. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient clinic operations, delivering exceptional patient service, and supporting healthcare providers in delivering optimal care. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including recording medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures across outpatient and inpatient settings. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the visit. Support medical documentation by updating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with accurate and timely information. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians, adhering strictly to safety protocols. Collect laboratory specimens, prepare X-ray requests, and assist with basic diagnostic procedures including ECGs. Maintain clinical supplies inventory, ensure cleanliness of treatment areas, and uphold infection control standards in compliance with healthcare regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine practices. Experience working in hospital environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Proficiency with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding for accurate documentation. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and basic life support (BLS) certification. Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, medication administration, X-ray assistance, and patient intake processes. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations. Prior clinic experience in outpatient or inpatient settings such as Geriatrics, Medical-surgical units, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or OR (Operating Room) support is advantageous.
