Job Description
Assists physicians and nursing staff in the care of patients in our Othopaedics Camden Site. Performs various patient care activities, including assisting with patient flow, taking vitals, giving injections, casting, DME and other needs as required. Maintains work stations, exam and procedure rooms. May direct the activities of other Medical Assistants. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred Graduation from an accredited training program (school) or 5 plus years of supervised work experience in a medical setting. Exemptions will be vetted by Human Resources Director and Department Director. Medical Assistant certification (such as NAHP, NCCT, AAMA, NHA, AMT, etc.) is required Demonstrated skill in venipuncture Ability to perform all medical assisting responsibilities under state and faculty guidelines CPR certification required Total Rewards The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland's Faculty Physician's Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
