MEDICAL ASSISTANT ENT
Baltimore is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, patient-focused Medical Assistant. The primary purpose of the Medical Assistant is to help the providers with patient care and prepare exam rooms. This position requires duties of a Medical Assistant and Front Desk support. This role will report to the Practice Administrator. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, no weekends. The locations are in Lutherville, Reisterstown, Mercy Medical Center, and Overlea. Travel to all clinic locations is required, reliable transportation is preferred.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting. The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing. The Medical Assistant will administer intramuscular injections, immunizations, and over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician. The Medical Assistant must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds. The Medical Assistant will assist with supporting the front desk as needed, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and responding to emails. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED equivalent Current CPR Certification required Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred Previous surgical experience preferred Ability to work in a high stressed, fast-paced environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
