- Job Description Bethesda Pediatrics is seeking a caring, dependable, and highly organized Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our clinical team.
We are a fast‑paced, family‑centered practice, and we're looking for someone who brings both clinical skill and a warm, patient‑first approach to every interaction. ⭐ Key Responsibilities Welcome patients and families with professionalism and compassion Room patients, obtain accurate vital signs, and document medical history Assist providers with pediatric exams, procedures, and vaccinations Prepare and administer vaccines following clinical protocols Perform point‑of‑care testing and basic lab procedures Collect and label specimens accurately Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms Manage patient messages, phone calls, and EMR documentation Support prescription refills, referrals, and forms Follow infection‑control and safety guidelines Provide clear instructions to parents and caregivers Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure smooth patient flow ⭐ Qualifications Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred Pediatric experience strongly preferred Strong communication and customer‑service skills Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment Comfortable working with infants, children, and adolescents Experience with EMR systems (Epic/MyChart is a plus) Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus ⭐ What We Offer Supportive, team‑oriented work environment Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for training and professional growth A practice that values compassion, teamwork, and excellent pediatric care
