Job Description
The Orthopedic Center is currently recruiting for the position of Clinical Assistant. This position works under the direction of a qualified medical provider and participates in direct and indirect patient care.
Duties include:
Phlebotomy experience preferred Taking vitals Documenting reason for visit and patient history Assisting provider as needed and per direction Providing education to patient and family members Performing basic procedures under provider supervision, such as dressing changes, removing and applying casts, removing stitches or staples Ordering diagnostic tests as directed Completing patient paperwork Cleaning and maintaining patient rooms Provide Triage service to patients relating to health care questions and prescriptions within office protocol Accurately enter documentation into EHR system Fax and mail correspondence for patients Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Highly qualified applicants should have a current medical assistant certification or applicable experience, great customer service skills, capacity to multi-task, general computer skills, the ability to adhere to federal and state privacy laws, and a genuine desire to improve the well-being of our patients.
