Job Description
Job Summary We are a growing, physician-led private pain management and neurology clinic serving the DMV community. Our practice specializes in interventional pain treatment and neurological care, providing compassionate and patient-centered care. We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Medical assistant/receptionist to join our team! This energetic role is the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced office setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your office management skills while supporting daily operations and providing exceptional customer service. Duties Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments in a professional and compassionate manner Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and chief complaints in the EMR Assist providers with patient examinations, injections, procedures, and clinical treatments as needed Support clinical documentation, charting, orders, referrals, and follow-up instructions under provider supervision Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and maintain accurate patient records Verify insurance, update patient information, collect copays, and assist with basic administrative tasks Maintain clean, organized exam rooms, prepare equipment and supplies, and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times Basic Requirements Fluent in English and Chinese High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer proficiency Skills & Personal Qualities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, professional, and patient-centered attitude with a strong team mindset Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented, highly organized, and dependable Ability to multitask efficiently and stay composed in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in medical offices preferred but not required Willingness to learn and be trained on clinic procedures and workflows Compensation & Benefits $18-$22 per hour (based on experience) On-the-job training Consistent weekday schedule Supportive team environment Opportunity for growth within the practice Free parking Join us to be part of a vibrant team where your organizational talents and customer service skills will make a real difference!
