Medical Assistant (Part-Time)

Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our family practice on a part-time basis . The ideal candidate will assist with both clinical and administrative tasks to help keep our practice running smoothly. Our Medical Assistant should have strong communication skills, solid clinical knowledge, and the ability to work professionally within a team-oriented and supportive environment .

Responsibilities:

Take and record patient's vital signs Room patients and prepare them for provider visits Record patient history and chief complaints Answer phones and assist patients with questions Schedule patient appointments Verify insurance coverage Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens Prepare and handle specimens appropriately for lab testing Stock and maintain exam rooms and supplies Order laboratory tests and assist with prior authorizations Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred Availability to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Must be fluent in English (reading and writing required) Bilingual candidates are a plus
