Medical Assistant/Receptionist

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our clinic. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations. This role involves direct patient care, administrative support, and collaboration with medical professionals to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery. Experience in clinics is highly valued. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in patient intake, vital signs collection, and documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (Athenahealth). Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history and documenting symptoms Measure and record vital signs accurately Assist with patient examinations and procedures in Primary Care settings Operate EHR systems (Athenahealth) efficiently for data entry and record keeping. Training will be provided Assist with ICD coding and documentation for billing purposes Ensure patient comfort and provide excellent patient service throughout their visit Maintain the cleanliness and organization of clinical areas in compliance with safety standards Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and insurance verification Skills Fluent in Chinese Mandarin strongly preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care protocols Experience working in primary care or outpatient clinics experience is a plus Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred Proficiency with EHR systems (Athenahealth) is strongly preferred Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery Ability to handle intake procedures efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of medication administration protocols within the scope of practice Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in fast-paced settings such as primary care or outpatient clinics This Medical Assistant position provides a rewarding opportunity to contribute to comprehensive patient care across diverse medical environments.
