Job Description

  • Pain Management practice in Salisbury, MD seeking professional, dependable, full-time medical assistant to work in a fast paced office, Monday-Friday
  • Experience with medical procedures an advantage
  • Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Answering phones and managing front desk tasks Verify insurance coverage, pre-authorizations, and manage referrals Obtain and record patient vital signs, pain levels, and relevant medical history Prepare, clean, and maintain office supplies and exam rooms Collect specimens (e.
g., urine for toxicology screening) and prepare for lab processing Prepare patients for pain management procedures such as injections, nerve blocks, and spinal interventions Operate c-arm x-ray machine Maintain procedure rooms with necessary supplies and ensure cleanliness and proper sterilization of equipment Manage x-ray certifications and preventative maintenance Skills Strong communication, written, verbal and interpersonal skills Empathy and patient-centered care Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments Attention to detail and accuracy Team collaboration Proven working experience as a medical assistant or x-ray technician Knowledge of c-arm operations a plus Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Strong organizational and planning skills
Requirements:
At least 1-2 year(s) with Medical Assistant experience. Spanish speaking, a plus.
