Job Description

The Medical Assistant provides essential support and administrative services to the office, the doctors, and the patients in a fast-paced doctor's office. This person will be involved in a wide spectrum of tasks focused around assisting the Physician in all minor in office procedures. Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting) Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance
Required Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience CMA or RMA certification preferred Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred) Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Benefits Offered Health Insurance (Single & Family plans available) Life Insurance Disability Insurance 401(k) plan with
