Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Support clinical procedures such as medication administration, X-ray imaging, and basic life support (BLS) techniques. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment plans accurately. Conduct basic physiology and anatomy assessments to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning. Perform in-clinic laboratory tasks including specimen collection, processing, and maintaining infection control standards. Support administrative functions like appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication to enhance patient service experience. Assist with hospital-based care activities in settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers, including inpatient care coordination. Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines or other diagnostic tools under supervision. Contribute to emergency medicine responses by supporting triage processes in urgent care or ER environments. Maintain compliance with hospital protocols for medication administration and patient safety standards across various specialties including geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or medical-surgical units. Experience Prior experience working in outpatient clinics or hospital environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of dermatology procedures, internal medicine practices, or emergency medicine protocols is advantageous. Experience supporting inpatient care at Level I or Level II trauma centers enhances candidacy. Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding processes is essential for accurate documentation. Proven ability to handle medical administrative tasks alongside clinical duties effectively. Knowledge of basic physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is required to support diverse clinical functions. Previous X-ray operation experience or OR (Operating Room) exposure is a plus but not mandatory. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or hospital experience are beneficial.
