MUST:

Experienced Medical Assistant with 3+ years of front and back office experience Rooming patients and obtaining vitals and medical histories Checking patients in Ensuring all labs and documentation has been updated in patients medical records Assisting with exams and procedures Processing prescriptions Calling patients with detailed provider instructions Triaging patients Calling patients Taking detailed phone messages Verifying insurance Obtaining pre-auths Stocking and cleaning exams rooms Maintaining logs of equipment and medication Handling translations for Spanish speaking patients

DUTIES:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Checking in patients and collecting ID's and verifying insurance Rooming patients Obtaining vitals signs and medical histories Assist providers with exams and procedures Provide required instructions to patients as directed by physician Ensure all related reports, labs and information is available in patient's medical records prior to their appointments Keep exam rooms stocked with medical supplies, maintain instruments, and prepare sterilization Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.) Handle translations for Spanish speaking patients Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
