Job Description

Maine Family Planning is hiring a full-time (37.50 hours a week) Medical Assistant to work in our Center for Reproductive Health (CRH). This position works in our Augusta clinic on Thursdays. Candidate will need to have flexibility to work in other clinic locations on additional days. Location to be determined. The CRH MA provides scheduling, education, follow-up, and clinical support to patients seeking abortion care in the Center for Reproductive Health. Responsible for assisting providers before, during, and after medication and aspiration abortions both in-person and via telehealth. Provides all care in compliance with written and approved protocols, and OSHA regulations. General Expectations Be committed to the organization's mission, vision, and values. Understanding of and commitment to reproductive justice. Follows established policies and procedures and complies with all safety requirements. Communicates in an open, respectful, and honest manner. Communicates proactively with the supervisor regarding workflow, problems, suggestions, etc. Conforms to acceptable attendance/punctuality standards as expressed in Employee Handbook. Be neat and maintain personal appearance and hygiene as appropriate for the position. Always adheres strictly to confidentiality. Models MFP core values and has a Reproductive Justice mindset. Education and Knowledge Requirements:
The following education requirements are considered essential: Licensed Medical Assistant preferred. High School Diploma required.
