Job Description

Travel Resource Medical Assistant -
Maine Diagnostic & Memory Care Expansion Program Company Overview:
BThere Geriatrics, a specialized branch of BThere Healthcare, delivers comprehensive medical and geriatric care across assisted living facilities, memory care units, and long-term care settings throughout Maine. Our mission is to enhance residents' quality of life through proactive healthcare solutions, advanced diagnostic tools, structured chronic disease pathways, and on-site clinical expertise. We are making a meaningful difference by reducing unnecessary hospitalizations, preventing avoidable wound complications, identifying vascular disease earlier, and improving cognitive care in vulnerable populations. For families, we provide peace of mind through clear communication, consistent updates, and a trusted partnership in their loved one's care journey. At BThere Geriatrics, we are not just delivering care — we are expanding access to early diagnosis, strengthening documentation integrity, and improving measurable outcomes across the post-acute continuum.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) to support the expansion of our Diagnostic & Memory Care Program across multiple post-acute and long-term care facilities in Maine. This role focuses on structured on-site diagnostic testing for cognitive impairment and memory care populations. The Travel Diagnostic Program expands high-value diagnostic services across multiple facilities without increasing physician or nurse practitioner travel days. The Resource MA works closely alongside a provider to perform structured on-site diagnostic testing and proactively prepare charts to support expanded clinical services that benefit both residents and facilities. Medical assistants conduct standardized assessments and testing, with provider review and interpretation as required for compliant Medicare billing. This collaborative model enhances efficiency, strengthens documentation, increases clinical throughput, and improves access to advanced diagnostic services while maintaining regulatory and billing compliance. This role offers a structured, office-like weekly schedule aligned with facility care operations — no overnight shifts, no routine call, and no weekend or holiday coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel across assigned facilities to perform structured diagnostic testing. Administer structured cognitive assessments in memory care settings. Prepare charts in advance to optimize provider efficiency and expanded service delivery. ? Complete standardized documentation to support compliant Medicare CPT billing. Identify abnormal findings and coordinate timely provider review. Support dementia care planning and behavioral health documentation initiatives. Participate in interdisciplinary care meetings, provider huddles, and quality initiatives. Your presence will drive earlier diagnosis, improved care coordination, enhanced survey readiness, reduced avoidable complications, and measurable facility-level outcomes.
Qualifications:
We seek a dedicated MA who values structured care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and proactive geriatric medicine.
Key Qualifications:
Experience in long-term care, memory care, or post-acute settings preferred. Strong assessment and documentation skills. Ability to function independently while supporting a collaborative provider model. Clear and empathetic communication with families, nursing teams, providers, and administrators. Proficiency with EHR-based documentation and structured clinical workflows.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary based on experience. 5-day structured work week aligned with facility operations. No call, weekend, or holiday coverage. Professional development, quality improvement, and leadership opportunities. Opportunity to expand into wound care, behavioral health, and advanced geriatric program initiatives.
Why Join Us:
At BThere Healthcare, you will join a mission-driven organization focused on elevating the standard of post-acute and long-term care.
Our model is built on:
