KARE CENTER
in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will support providers and patients across our urgent care and primary care services, helping deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Greet and room patients, obtain vital signs, and document chief complaints and medical histories in the electronic health record (EHR). Assist providers during examinations and procedures. Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct point-of-care testing as directed. Administer injections and immunizations per provider orders and within scope of practice. Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and stocking of supplies. Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals and follow-ups. Provide patient education and instructions under provider supervision. Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred. BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience in a clinical, urgent care, or primary care setting preferred. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems. (training available) Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
