Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated manager with experience in leadership and medical assisting to join our healthcare team. Experienced applicants only! As a manager, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various medical procedures. This position is located in an urgent care setting, some locations also provide primary care. You will be rotating between two of our locations in Michigan, Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti.
Duties:
  • Ensuring adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare standards to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff
  • Overseeing equipment maintenance and managing medical and office supply inventory to keep the clinic fully stocked and operational
  • Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording patient information, and assisting with examinations
  • Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Conduct X-rays and other diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a licensed practitioner
  • Assist with patient education and provide support and guidance to patients and their families
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
  • Perform medical administrative support duties including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance forms
  • Follow proper infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification OR prior Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology preferred
  • Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic medical procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
