Job Description

$17 an hour ($19.60 once certification has been obtained) This job is full-time, Monday - Friday Now taking applications for our program starting on Sept. 8th. The CCMA Apprenticeship Program is a 12-month program that will provide you with all the skills to be a successful Medical Assistant at Grace Health. No experience needed! OVERVIEW
The first 12 weeks are spent in the classroom where you will study the CareerStep program. The next 12 weeks will be spent training with a preceptor on the clinical floor. After successful completion of the CareerStep curriculum and clinical floor training, you will take the CCMA exam to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. The last 6 months of the program consists of mentorship - you will be paired with a mentor within your assigned work area. The CCMA Apprenticeship is a competitive and intensive program where expectations are high and there are times that outside studying will be expected.
EXAMPLES OF MEDICAL ASSISTANT DUTIES
(This list is not all inclusive) Obtains accurate patient data Documents in the medical record Prepares exam room and procedure rooms Assists provider during exams and procedure Administers medications, per written order Provides educational materials to patient/family Provides explanation of lab results, diagnostic testing results and provider orders to patient/family Assists with cleaning and stocking of exam rooms and suites Performs CLIA waived testing General office duties, as assigned Although each position has its own unique duties and responsibilities, please refer to the policy on Job Descriptions for details that apply to every position.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of High school diploma or GED One year of work experience in a medical office setting preferred
