Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled Medical Assistant for a 1099 contract position at our fast-paced Medspa in Brighton, MI, with full-time or part-time options available. Applicants should be familiar with the responsibilities and implications of a 1099 independent contractor role, including self-managing taxes and benefits. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for wellness, aesthetics, and client care, living within 15 minutes of our location. This role requires proficiency in administering injections (including weight loss, peptides, vitamins, and testosterone replacement therapy - TRT), strong sales and networking skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy environment. You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional client experiences while supporting the operational and promotional needs of the spa, reporting directly to ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Administer injections, including weight loss medications, peptides, vitamins, and TRT, with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Assist with aesthetic and wellness treatments under the direction of ownership. Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized treatment environment.
Client Engagement & Sales:
Build rapport with clients, providing consultations and follow-up to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. Actively promote services and products, meeting or exceeding sales goals. Network within the Brighton community to attract new clients and build brand awareness.
Operational Support:
Manage inventory, including ordering and tracking supplies to ensure seamless operations. Follow up with clients via phone, email, or text to schedule appointments and address inquiries. Contribute to social media content creation and engagement to showcase services and promotions.
Team Contribution:
Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Take initiative to identify opportunities for process improvement and client experience enhancement. Stay updated on industry trends, treatments, and products to provide informed recommendations.
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent credentials required. Proven experience administering injections, specifically weight loss medications, peptides, vitamins, and TRT, in a clinical or Medspa setting. Familiarity with 1099 independent contractor status and its responsibilities (e.g., self-managed taxes, no employee benefits). Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting targets and building client relationships. Comfortable with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and content creation. Outgoing, personable, and confident in networking and client interactions. Self-motivated and proactive with excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Basic computer skills for scheduling, client management, and inventory tracking. Knowledge of Medspa or wellness industry trends is a plus. Must reside within a 15-minute commute of Brighton, MI, to ensure availability and punctuality.
Requirements:
Valid state licensure or certification as required for administering injections. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for full-time or part-time schedules as agreed upon.
